We're already halfway through it and still we haven't seen much of "M". Other than that I like it. : )

        It's great!
So far I like it all. . .

Well. . .the actual House of M story, it's by Bendis and he rarely sucks (despite the wrath of a lot of really "hardcore" fans)

As for the other stuff? The Iron Man story I haven't totally gotten into yet, but I've only read the first issue. Spider-Man is pretty good, but Peter Davids Hulk is great! But then again, we should expect that too.

Haven't read it, and I doubt I will. Comics are so expensive these days, I'd throw half my paycheck every week just to keep up with these damn crossover stories Marvel is notoriously known for. I'll wait for the graphic novel if they put one out.

            TPB's Rule!

I have liked House of M so far, but I hate that it gave Claremont an excuse to do all of his weird world hopping crap. That last X-men that he wrote with Capatain Britain is horrible. I think Claremont has gone way downhill.

Personally, I am getting a little tired of cross overs that create an alternate universe. It's a way to have a lot of big stuff happen without really anything happening to the real Marvel universe. I like the art, and I like the Avengers and X-Men getting together. There have been a lot of changes in the Marvel world, and at first this series seemed to be taking stock of that, before everything went wacko.

I also think that Claremont's writing has gotten worse. He seems burdened by too many chefs in the kitchen (sort of like at Microsoft). I am currently reading the Essential X-Men trade paperbacks with Claremont and Byrne, and they rock! Dark Phoenix and Days of Future Past are some of the best Marvel stories ever. Claremont's stuff used to be very rich and textured while still feeling cohesive and personal.

At the same time, I liked the last Uncanny with Cap Britain. I like the way this comic is intersecting with the House of M, and I like the team-up of Marvel Girl and Psylocke. And Alan Davis is one of my favorite artists. It seems like he insists that his art actually tells a story. I don't mind that he needs to take a break every few issues. He deserves it!

I, too, had planned on waiting for the tpb to come out, but the new shop that opened in my neighborhood (Isotope) was so excited that I was their first customer, and that I brought them additional customers, they comped me the first two issues!

Lucky me. I'm unemployed, and can't afford comics!!!!

The Cable/Deadpool issue already has a storyline going on, and they've just incorporated the House of M into it. Oh yeah, and we get some "witty" Deadpool banter that is funny to read.

The Pulse issue (not the $.50 newspaper) centers around Hawkeye realizing that he's dead in the Marvel U, and he wants answers.

My brain hurts from reading these bits and pieces of "M" storyline on here. I'm gonna lay down.

I just read #5 and I have to say I am enjoying it.

It is different from other 'alternate universe' stories in a couple different ways. One, it's a reality based on each character's heart desire. This is interesting, and must have been an interesting challenge for all those writers to come up with a world that made sense as a whole and from each individual's POV. Two, it's not really an alternate universe but the result of Wanda's reality-warping, and now with all of the main characters "waking up" that is becoming clear. At first I thought it was all Wanda's doing, but now it appears it was engineered by Magneto.

    We shall see...

I heard that the "BIG" result of this will be to reduce the amount of mutants in the Marvel Universe.

    anyone...?

      I'd say that maybe

      1. Hawkeye will be brought back

      2. Thor may be brought back

      3. Daredevil's ID may be forgotten

      4. Spider-Man & Mary Jane could seperate

      5. Maybe not Magneto, but QUICKSILVER orchestrated all of this.

"5. Maybe not Magneto, but QUICKSILVER orchestrated all of this."

That would be a very interesting and more satisfying twist to the end of this story. I hope they go with it.
